\nabhor the abuse of animal earthlings
\nour dominion isn’t
\nto torment them
\nfor some annual festivity<\/p>\n
it smacks at abusing behaviour
\na petting zoo is wrong
\nit isn’t loving
\nit serves no purpose
\nthey are singing but the song
\njust truly isn’t positive
\nfor the animals will be
\nstressed out by the experience
\nas thousands generally<\/p>\n
touch and pat and so forth
\nimagine how that feels
\nits torment for those
\ncreatures great and small
\nand it reveals
\nthe church should re think
\nits morals
\nChristmas Lights may be
\nare not as spectacular
\nwith the live ones there
\nwho have to see<\/p>\n
but understand so little
\nand realise so much
\nhow the broad church is arrogantly
\nvery out of touch<\/p>\n
our wish is well for the big show
\nbut the animal earthlings need
\nrespite from this rigmarole
\nits not their place, indeed
\nits selfish of us actually
\nto immerse them in this show
\nwe need to protect the innocent
