Looking at me now you’d think
\nI probably wasn’t all that hot
\neach fight took me to the brink
\nmy face and jaws and teeth were not
\nreally in my minds eye
\nmy loyalty wasn’t there
\nI have never wanted to fight my own
\nI have never felt to bare<\/p>\n
my teeth in combat really
\ninside of me my heart
\nwas more about my actual breed
\nand from that I have to start
\nmuch of what most of us do
\nis down to human kind
\nand of course they are not kind at all
\nand most of them are blind<\/p>\n
a mindless bunch of infidels
\nintoxicated on
\ndollar bills and drugs you know
\nand we all feel put upon
\nit isn’t in our nature to fight each other, we
\nare trained up, tortured and beaten
\nthat’s the life I see
\nits all about aggression
\nits dark down in those pits
\nchained up and kept hungry
\nby the handlers who are shits!<\/p>\n
fighting means you have to win
\nand take what ever comes
\nyou have to beat the opposition
\neven if we’re chums
\nwe still go all out really
\nproving we’re the best
\nand so we get a hiding
\noften and have to pass each test<\/p>\n
I know I look an awful mess
\nand goodness me it aches
\nwhether I can fight again
\nit really clearly takes
\na great deal out of all of us
\nand the veterinary my word
\nthose bills they pay are astronomic
\nbordering on absurd<\/p>\n
but everyone connected
\nhas to be in the game
\nand of course if its illegal
\nwhich so many people claim
\nbut fights are happening
\nevery night
\nthe venue’s they are packed
\ngambling fever rocks the stalls
\nyou should hear the crowd react<\/p>\n
I will be off for some time
\nthat’s if I ever get
\nback into an arena
\nI think my future is set
\nif I don’t fight there’s no money
\nso its run or be put down
\nboth options not what I would choose
\nespecially this clown<\/p>\n
who bloody well looks after me
\nhe’s a rough and tumble spiv
\nsmokes the funny baccy
\nand always tries to give
\nless for more
\nthat’s what he does less for more he spouts
\nI don’t know what to make of him
\nbut he’s got a couple of louts<\/p>\n
that take me out a walking
\nand they are cruel to me
\nthey kick my arse and hurt me
\nI bleed quite easily
\na pair of real piss takers
\nthese two and they got
\nthe last fight and as you can see
\ntheir dog hurts me a lot<\/p>\n
I really know the chips are down
\nI have got to get away
\nthe people are a lousy lot
\nthis world is how can I say
\nso vile and so aggressive
\nits so brutal what they do
\nto each other so what chance
\nhave, we not a lot my view<\/p>\n
Is I’d be better clearing off
\nbut in this state I will
\nnot get passed a week out on the street
\nI’m good and true
\nbroken really just too injured
\nand I can’t believe
\nthat anyone would care for me
\nwhat would they achieve
\napart from seeing me get better
\nand then just be their pet
\nother than that I am hopeless
\nI have fallen through the net<\/p>\n
but it happens to so many
\nwe’re killed if we lose
\nand when we lose we generally lose
\nbadly it don’t need clues
\nlook at me I’m in a state
\nof pain and agony
\ndisfigured and so tortured
\ndog fighting ain’t for me<\/p>\n

\nhe thinks fighting is al’right
\nhe doesn’t know the stress
\nthat comes down from the humans
\nits perilous you know
\nit really is no dogs life

then you are a chattel

\nwill dump you down the nearest well
\nthat’s what fighters do
\ncompassion is not anything they ever knew about
\naggression yea and nastiness
\nthose two words are not in doubt<\/p>\n
I am lost completely
\na fighter not again
\nnot every pit bull wants this life
\nits really too much pain
\nand too much legal battle
\nthe authorities are on
\nthey take some of them actually
