There once was a Lion
\nKing of the Beasts
\na stalwart fellow, He
\nLived alone in his cave
\neach bone, he possessed
\nnow painfully
\nTroubled him,He was proud ofcourse
\nIn the Summer he had led
\nA fearsome pride
\nWhich no one denied
\nBut now where
\nhe lay his head<\/p>\n
Was a cold dank place
\nWhere the ice did chase
\nWhere the frost did peer
\nWhere the snow was clear
\nWhere the wind was angry
\nand punched its weight
\nand just forced him to
\ncontemplate<\/p>\n
His future as
\nthe north wind blew
\nAnd his paws were
\ngetting cold and blue
\nForlorn and damp
\nHis spirit low
\nHe was now unsure
\nWhere he would go<\/p>\n
Till one dark
\nfrosty evening
\nIn an ice shower, he heard
\nThe melodic sound
\nwhich heartened him
\nIt was a tiny bird
\nShe sang a song of Winter
\nShe reminded him of Spring
\nShe melted his old craggy heart
\nFor it had a familiar ring<\/p>\n
It was Yeganeh,he was sure it was
\nBut she had flown off to
\nWarmer climes, it couldn’t be
\nCould it, he peered through
\nthe ice blasts far into the night
\nHis old eyes sore
\nAnd again he heard that melodic song
\nAnd prayed aloud for more<\/p>\n
Are you out there Yeganeh?
\nHe roared with all his might
\nAs icicles fell off the trees
\nAnd shone in the moonlight
\nThe wolves howled in the distance
\nThe owls hooted on high
\nAnd once again he heard her song
\nAcross the expanse of sky<\/p>\n
The old lion was so happy
\nHe had heard his Yeganeh
\nSinging on her sunny bough
\nAll those miles away
\nHe remembered how
\nshe’d befriended him
\nA lovely little bird
\nWho had not been
\nfrightened of him
\nAnd had loved his
\nevery word<\/p>\n
Winter passed so rapidly
\nEach day the lion became
\nStronger his bones clearly healed
\nHis heart was all aflame
\nAnd Spring soon was upon his world
\nThe buds were popping green
\nThe flowers were dancing
\nin the woods
\nThe rushes mirrored gleam
\nThe Old Lion ventured
\nfrom his cave
\nand felt a warmish breeze
\nHe smelled the bouquet
\nfrom the flowers
\nand the buzzing of the Bees
\nand there she was his yeganeh
\nSitting on a bough
\nsinging to
\nher hearts content
\nin a pollen shower
\nOnce again united
\n2 souls clearly they
\nAble to appreciate
\neach other, more each day<\/p>\n
