An ocean of live chickens
\nswallowed and gone
\neviscerated
\nit goes on and on
\neach one had a heart
\nand a soul

they are cogs in a wheel

\nonly dismay
\nat how as we grow

\nno one sees the link
\nno one sees them actually
\nsees what they do
\nthey dismember the corpses

you go to the superstore
\ntrolleys away
\nand you pick a joint
\nenclosed in a tray
\nthat once was a chicken
\na pig maybe they
\nlived in a factory
\nfar far away<\/p>\n
and what do you do with it
\nyou take it home
\ncook it and eat it
\nlife in monochrome
\nits about sameness
\nyour locked in the sphere
\nand so unaware of the masses of fear<\/p>\n
that passed the blood barrier
\ninto your soul
\nthat created in you a new form
\nof control
\na chip almost found in the fibres
\nof life
\nthat you reinstated with your
\nfork and knife<\/p>\n
and how would you realise
\nwhere it came from
\nhow it was doctored
\nwith such aplomb
\ndigital wizards had incorporated
\nthe cyber chips
\nand they exaggerated
\nyour need for chicken
\nyour insatiable need
\nto be more mechanical
\nin how you feed<\/p>\n
the vegan however
\ntermed mutant to some
\nthat’s the carnivore corporates
\nwho are themselves dumb
\nhaving lost their perception
\ntheir human belief
\nand who live in the now
\nin their CAFO relief<\/p>\n
the age of machines
\nand the cyber controlled
\nthe matrix is out there
\nthe people were polled
\nlists of them everywhere
\nfiled on the screen
\nanalysed by the great
\nCAFO machine<\/p>\n
who lives in the shadows?
\nwho sups from the plant?
\nwho forgoes the animals flesh
\nand who can’t ?
\nsteal from the calf from the kid
\nfrom the soul
\nwho remains without chips
\na pre GPs role<\/p>\n
the vegan of course
\nmacrobiotic as well
\nan ethical standpoint
\nthe activists tell
\nof a group who presume
\nto be fitter than those
\nwho gave up their souls
\nto the corporate CAFO’s<\/p>\n
China is eating vast quantities now
\nchicken and pork
\nsupping from the cow
\nthe calves they all die
\nin a melee of pain
\nand the chips and the digital
\npathways do gain<\/p>\n
the human spirit
\nthe DNA
\nits being manipulated so they say
\nthe technology now is machinipulated
\nrobotsized and in fact sedated
\nthis is the control
\nthe end is near
\nand there’s no going back
