The Grizzly Bear pounced on a Bison one day
\nthe Bison not ready to die
\nor to pay
\nsuch a great price
\nhe loved his life so
\nloved a special Bison
\nhe did love her so<\/p>\n
he just couldn’t bear
\nto not see her again
\nand so he fought back
\nthough he was in such pain
\nfought back
\nlike fire in his belly
\nfor he
\nwanted so much his lady to see<\/p>\n
and he managed to get away
\nmanaged to run
\nthough injured a lot
\nhe ran into the sun
\nacross snowy fields
\nthrough the forest he ran
\ndown the road to the the humans place
\nwhere he began
\nto just get away from the Bear
\nwho did chase<\/p>\n
though tiring and really
\nhe just couldn’t face
\nthe threat of those humans
\nbut the Bison ran on
\nback into the forest
\nuntil he was gone<\/p>\n
the bear just gave up
\nhe had lost his big meal
\nthe Bison exhausted
\nlay down to feel
\ntired and emotional
\nhopeful that he
\ncould get back to where she was
\nand with her could be<\/p>\n
slowly he made his way up on his feet
\nand went towards where she was
\nthe attack did unseat
\nin him lots of confidence
\nclearly he was
\ninjured but needed to see
\nher because
\nhe loved just to be with her
\njust to be near
\nand so he tried hard
\nof that it was clear<\/p>\n
well clear to those sentient
\namong us
\nbut sadly for him
\nthe rangers took one look
\nand their view was dim
\nhe was badly injured
\nand needed to be
\nsent off to the Summer lands
\nyes seemingly<\/p>\n
they didn’t take into account
\nhis big heart
\nhow he was thinking
\nnot wanting to part
\nfrom his friend in the forest
\nas his pressure did climb
\nhe wanted to see her
\njust one last time<\/p>\n
how would men know this
\nunfeeling as hell
\nthey shot him to death
\nnow would she think well
\nof her beau who apparently just ran away
\nand didn’t come back to see her today
\nwould she think badly of him
\nwould she know
\nthat in fact he did everything
\nhoping to show<\/p>\n
his love for her
\nbut the men were around
\nthey did not understand
\nhim and when they found
\nhe had some bad injuries
\nthought it was best
\nto slaughter the Bison
\nwho seemed so obsessed<\/p>\n
blessed be
\nthat poor soul
\ntook so much of the pain
\nhe so much wanted to see her again
\nto share her sweet aura
\nbut it was not to be
\nman unkind saw to that
