Its devastatingly arrogant
\nwhat some of us might do
\nwhich in a nutshell actually
\nis worse than any zoo
\nall wild animals everywhere
\nwere created to be
\nwild
\nwhere they were put
\nis where they ought to be
\nthat is amongst their families
\nin the environment they need
\nthat is where they are happy
\nand most likely to succeed<\/p>\n
taking them from that habitat
\nand bringing them away
\nkeeping them like pets
\ninside your home
\nwanting to stay
\naround them
\nisn’t kindness
\nits ignorance from you
\nits most unkind to do this
\nit shows your clueless too<\/p>\n
they will miss their families
\nthey will miss their place
\nthey will miss their environment
\nwhere life went at a pace
\nthey will miss their freedom
\nto do what they would do
\nespecially if they are holed up in some
\ncage looking at you<\/p>\n
they eat what they were born to eat
\nthey hunt, they learn their ways
\nare spent building their repertoire
\nfor experience always pays
\nand taking them away from where they were born
\nis always wrong
\nand they die a little everyday
\nfor they just don’t belong<\/p>\n
inevitably there is conflict too
\nthey are fed with the wrong thing
\nperhaps they get neglected
\nand its begins to bring
\nmental trauma upon them
\nremember they are wild
\nyour home might be extremely nice
\nbut they are the first wild child<\/p>\n
they need the trees to play in
\nthey need the litter floor
\nthey need to drink fresh water
\nnot bottled from the store
\nthey need whatever they need
\nnot what you deem to give
\nthe wild ones are the wild ones
