What is it about tourists
\nthey seem, really naive
\ngive an elephant a brush
\nand most seem to believe
\nthat they would want to paint a picture
\nhaving the perspective for
\ncreation quite organically
\nbut what most do ignore<\/p>\n
is elephants have never painted pictures
\non their own
\nits only after getting in with man un kind
\nthey have shown
\nsome acumen in this regard
\nand only as we know
\nafter they are broken in
\n“phaa jan” just watch it go<\/p>\n
they really always had before
\nthis spirit of being wild
\nwhich underpinned their status
\nbut when it was reconciled
\nor went out the door completely
\nin the training process they
\ncaged up without food
\nor water
\nthe whole thing went away<\/p>\n
the torture after all was crude
\nit was painful and insensitive
\nto the elephant and their need
\nwhen there spirit is broken
\nthen with them you will succeed
\nat painting and at earning money
\nthen they will conform
\npaint all sorts of offerings
\nface all kinds of storm
\nwith a peaceful demeanour
\nclearly they see the light
\nit seemed better to go along with man

\nthe trunk is extra sensitive
\nand a nail pushed in hurts lots
\nso they tend to just do anything
\nfor these crafty little snots<\/p>\n

\na quiet life seemingly
\nbetter than long hours of pain
\nand such adversity
\nbeing anxious about soreness
\nand aware of what they do
\nthat is why the elephant paints
\nand presents its gift to you<\/p>\n
these men are really spiteful
\nto a creature that could ram
\ntheir brains right down into their socks
\nleave them looking more like spam
\nbut they tend to be much kinder
\nnot as wilful as you’d think
\nand allow their spirit to be broken
\nwithout kicking up a stink<\/p>\n
but the elephant never ever
\nforgets what it goes through
\nand one day it might just recall
\nand take it out on you
\nfor if you were its master
\nit waited for its chance
\nand one day when you have forgotten
\nit wont feel like romance<\/p>\n
they may tread on you or crush
\nyou
\nor whip you with their trunk
\nthat’s when you suddenly realise
\nthat your world, has just sunk
\nthe elephant, never forgets
\nthe harm that was dished out
\nand may compensate the unkind man
\nwho then knows what its about<\/p>\n
its the secret that big secret
\nthat’s seldom in the news
\nbut the elephant has been waiting
\nhe had all the clues
\nhe was extra patient
\nand he was very strong
\nbut what we did to make him paint
