The Melissa Bachman phenomenon
\nis still in the news today
\nbut some people are supporting her
\nall along the way
\nasking why the global outcry
\nhappened, possibly
\nbecause it was a women
\nwho killed this lion
\nfor me
\nI don’t expect to see a women
\nkilling earthlings, she
\nis after all
\nmore able to create life
\nactually
\nso to see and hear her comments
\nrather made me feel
\nsad for women really
\nit just was very real<\/p>\n
had it been a man
\nwe’ve all seen many times
\nlions hung up and I am hung up
\nand have written many rhymes
\nthis was a women doing it
\nI didn’t expect to see
\nand it degraded women
\nthat’s if you ask me
\nI don’t see killing animals
\nas a reason to believe
\nthat this can help South Africa
\nfor all the Lions I grieve<\/p>\n
not just this one actually
\nbut this one seemingly
\nslaughtered by a women
\nit did do things for me
\nit sickened and it saddened
\nthat women also feel
\nits fine to go around the world
\nand kill
\nits no big deal
\nthis masculine persuasion
\nfor me will never do
\nI hate to see the killings
\nit saddens me right through<\/p>\n
South Africa is proud about it
\nmillions in the bank
\ncanned hunting does it for them
\nfor me I think its rank
\nto have to murder anything
\nany soul at all
\nand to sit back on your laurels
\nmeans society does fall<\/p>\n
down into the doldrums
\ninto its own abyss
\nthe hunters that’s the man tribe
\nthey can share the bliss
\nthe froth that’s been generated
\nfrom this womens exploits she
\nin my book isn’t worthy
\nof a prime spot on TV<\/p>\n
killing those wild animals
\nand deriving pleasure does
\nno doubt give the psychopaths
\naround a goodly buzz
\nseeing a majestic lion cut down in its prime
\nor an Arctic bear
\nof whatever there
\nits the signs of the time<\/p>\n
how we derive our pleasure
\nfrom the killing fields of pain
\ncanned hunts guarantee returns
\nand import the insane
\nthe psychopath the money bags
\nwho spend it now at will
\nand buy whatever animals they want to buy
\nand kill<\/p>\n
its all laid on, each package
\nand the body parts are sold
\nor given to the starving local people
\nits the gold
\nthat glitters in the evening sun
\nfor everybody shares
\nexcept of course the animals
\ncaught saying their prayers<\/p>\n
as for Melissa Bachman
\nand the other hunting lot
\nthe women coming into it
\nI must say I was shot
\naway with that completely
\nI never thought that they
\ncould stand behind a rifle
\nand blow a soul away<\/p>\n
I know I couldn’t do it
\nmy feelings are too strong
\nlife for me is so precious
\nand it just seems so wrong
\nto kill another earthling
\nfor a financial gain
\nfor South Africa or for anyone
\nit seems life was in vain<\/p>\n
creation must be wary
\nof what it sees today
\nof how this glorious miracle
\nhas become a way to pay
\nthe government is implicated
\nin the deals as well
\nheaven on earth
\nhas given birth
\nto a kind of canned hunt hell<\/p>\n
we all have our opinions
\nand I think she is wrong
\nwomen hunters really to me
\nare singing the wrong song
\nthey need to give another message
\nthat’s if you ask me
\nmore of a caring nurturing
\nthat’s my honest plea<\/p>\n
the Lion the Bear the crocodile
\nthe Zebra they all were
\ncreatures born for better things
\nand yes they caused this stir
\nseeing them lying breathlessly
\nslaughtered on the ground
\njust victims for a TV show
\nto be lost and never found<\/p>\n
took me back to times when
\nI have lost a cat or dog
\nwho had become a family member
\nI remembered them my log
\ninside of me was in overdrive
\nthinking of those souls
\nthe family members left behind
\nwho had to take on roles
\ngrieving they will be grieving
\nthe one’s who still survive
\nthere is inter action
\nchildren in the frame
\nwho may have lost their father
\ntheir little hearts inflame<\/p>\n
to me each created earthling
\nhas a place and they
\ndo not deserve this treatment
\nwhatever papers say
\nwhatever the hunting people say
\nand the South African press
\nslaughtering animals in cold blood
\nshows me we are in a mess<\/p>\n
we’ve lost it
\nthat’s if ever we had it at the start
\nand for women to be doing it
\ngoes right to the heart
\nits never ever sexist
\nits a disappointment I
\nfeel to know that women kind
\ndoesn’t question why<\/p>\n
doesn’t as a goddess
\nstand back and realise
\nthere’s more to life than killing
\nand thus its my surprise
\nto see them in the thick of it
\nwith blood now on their hands
\nand getting pleasure from it
\nand well making more plans<\/p>\n
to go and kill more animals
\nand post them on the net
\nproudly go where no man goes
\nand kill and really let
\nthe world know women are a force
\nto be reckoned with and they
\ncan go out in the wilderness
