Half of his body is burned
\nand Jacob knows
\nhis pain is intense
\neven between his toes
\nsomebody did this
\nand of course this dog knows
\nafter this vile abuse
\nthe pain grows and grows
\nhow this little chap manages
\nwhat can he do
\nevery hour of each day
\nand the whole night
\nthrough
\nchemical damage what’s it a about
\nwhy is it happening
\nmost would want out
\nbut clearly this soul
\nis resilient for he
\nlives on his strengths
\nand his audacity
\nbut just to imagine
\nthe pain he is in
\nand whoever did this
\nto try and begin
\nto understand why
\nwhat makes people do
\nsuch evil acts
\nthen live their life through<\/p>\n
this animals knows
\nwho did this he knows
\nbut he cannot tell us
\nin him it grows
\nthe frustration no doubt and the anger too
\nfor his sick attacker<\/p>\n
why did he do
\nwhat he did
\ncould it possibly be
\nsomeone you know
\nsomeone down the street
\nsome so and so
\na neighbour perhaps
\nnear where you eat
\nit could be anyone
\nwho might mistreat
\na dog like this dog
\nand not get found out
\nleaving us all really
