Ranchers set their stalls up
\nin Wolf Country
\nthe wild boys they are out there
\nand have been
\nout there before ranchers
\never knew about a cow
\nthey are wild
\nand are part of the scene<\/p>\n
they are the apex predator
\nbut they set many rules
\nthey choreograph the symphony
\nand do not take kindly to fools
\nthey are a huge part of the wheel
\nof life in its majesty
\nthey are very macrobiotic
\nand thus their constancy<\/p>\n
is as they were created
\nby the higher resourceful souls
\nwho laid down what the wolf should hunt
\nand furnished some controls
\na highly active hunter
\na deep seated visionary
\nwith a huge wealth of experience
\nand instincts thrown in for free<\/p>\n
the are very social animals
\nand live in packs where they
\nlearn to share and to be aware
\nhow they operate each day
\nthey never waste a single thing
\nthey are part of the whole
\neverything suffers imbalance
\nwhen the wolf’s killed by some troll<\/p>\n
I call these hunters trolls
\nbecause they fail to really see
\nthe picture that is before them
\nfor them its the dollar B
\neverything else gets second place
\nand their judgement therefore will
\nnot be that holistic and that is why they kill<\/p>\n
and use the digital GPS
\nthe wolves are up against
\na breed of absolute ignorance
\nand really I am incensed
\nfor they use the power of satellites
\nand track these souls now and
\nwith cell phones and the rest of it
\ndespoil our precious land<\/p>\n
the wolves they are the masters
\nof their own destiny for they
\ncan think things through
\nthey spend a moment cogitating
\nsay
\nthey are tracking say a Bison
\ninherent in their mind
\nthey may sense an ailing specimen
\nthough the rest of us seem blind<\/p>\n
they have an innate wisdom
\nsuggesting they were here
\nbecause they are so valuable
\ndespite the words of fear
\nflowing from the ranchers
\nand the trappers and the rest
\nwho can’t abide this genius
\nand certainly won’t invest<\/p>\n
a second more in saving them
\nwhich is a sad idea
\non one hand we have lovers
\non the other haters a tear
\nfalls from those now weeping
\nat the loss each death does cause
\nand the lack of understanding
\nand the reluctance so to pause<\/p>\n
the wold though can take heart
\nI feel
\nfor there are souls who care
\nthey may not have the dollar Bills
\nsticking in their hair
\nbut their hearts are warm and their knowledge
\nof the wider universe
\nis tantamount to the realisation
\nthat without wolves
