\nof what he took a man made gun
\nand killed a female who
\nis probably a mother
\nand a lover and this will do
\nirreparable damage to the relationship
\nthe cubs have lost their mother
\nthe apex predator male
\nhas lost his love
\nand like no other<\/p>\n
the environment around them
\nand the pack have lost a soul
\na leader with great wisdom
\nthat gave them their control
\nthe sentiment of the hunter
\nshows the ignorance that he
\nhas for why the kid is out there
\nhe thinks he ought to be
\nfollowing in his fathers footsteps
\nthat’s what men should do
\nbetter to follow your mother chum
\nprovided she’s not clueless too<\/p>\n
wolves are so important
\nthey are not a target for
\nyoung men looking to appear cool
\nor having a private war
\nwith a predator that can’t see them
\nwho is picked off and is lost
\njust to stand there with a photograph
\nat an enormous cost<\/p>\n
he smiles but can he understand
\nthe grievous steps he caused
\nhe just pulled a trigger
\nhe possibly never paused
\nhe just looked through that telescope
\nand saw that shape and he
\npulled the trigger and watched it wander

\ndid he or his father see
\nthey were a party to the attack
\nagainst a truly wild soul
\nwho had never caused them ill
\nwhere was the compassion
\nwhy did he have to kill<\/p>\n
what makes men really cruel
\nso ignorant of creation, who
\nto make a wolf to give her the instinctive
\nskills to do
\nremember she is wild
\nand in the wilderness to succeed
\nand bring a healthy family up
\nmeans what every soul does need <\/p>\n
with children running about the place
\ntheir sights set on attack
\nwanting to have a cool day out
\nand a picture to take back<\/p>\n
a wolf, the wolves are and should
\nnever be targets that’s for sure
\nkilling wolves who after all
\nwere there in that place long before
\nthe ranchers and the hunters
\nand the cool kid and the rest
\nthey have years of experience
\nand are up to every test<\/p>\n
so rather than a cool moment
\nin a young kid’s life
\nperhaps he may reflect a while
\nand imagine all the strife
\nthat the pack is now in
\ntragically
\nwhich is what supposedly
\nhunters do not think about
\nwhen high fiving tragically<\/p>\n
I took the quote for I reckoned
\nthat it really said it all
\nhow environments do suffer
\nwhen the fear factors fall
\nhow prey animals proliferate
\nhow vegetation’s torn
\nhow saplings then get eaten
\nand trees therefore are gorn<\/p>\n
leaves there will be fewer
\nand birds much fewer too
\nand insects they won’t be there either
\nand river fishes new
\nwill not have enough insects
\nthe environment will be
\nlost in many aspects
\nthis is the mystery<\/p>\n
of life its all connected
\nremove a pawn and you
\ncannot play a game of chess
\nthe chess of life the view
\nahead is sorely ruined
\nby the mindless with their gun
\nwho came out for a cool hunt
\nand lost it in the sun<\/p>\n
I am sorry avid hunters
\nI am sorry now for you
\nfor what is your adventure
\nshows me your clueless too
\nif you only realised the need
\ncreation saw to place
\nthat female with that moment
\nwhose now lost without a trace<\/p>\n
the wheel of life keeps turning
\nbut its weaker as we know
\nwhen we lose a spoke it is no joke
\nthe strength some has to go
\nand taking out the predator
\nor taking out the prey
\nis creating chaos in the system
\nand all of us will pay<\/p>\n
down the line remember that
\nfor the countryside we share
\nit doesn’t belong to you or me
\nor him just be aware
\nthe wolves the deers the rabbits
\nall have their place and they
\nneed to live not be hunted
\nand not be made to pay<\/p>\n
for your gratification
\nof for some kid’s cool day out
\nthis is not what creation
\never is about
\nits not some scant expression
\nits life and its profound
\nand all I ask is that you lot
