\nin colder climes the population
\njust can’t get enough
\nwhen asked the industry

\nbut in point of fact they are lying

\nis with the public and with
\nproducers who live pluck and they do
\nin Sweden its been proven

birds for meat production
\nare plucked at least 4 times
\nand birds for egg production
\nthats when the figure climbs
\nto 15 times in some cases
\nsuch torture and such pain
\nimagine having your hair pulled out
\nby the roots it is insane<\/p>\n
great tufts of hair
\nits uninmaginable it is torture
\nthrough and through
\nits enough to make my eyes water
\nseeing what they do
\nit breaks my heart that
\nwomen would do this work
\nand be
\nhappy to torture geese like this
\nfor all eternity<\/p>\n
in many cases their skin is ripped
\nand sewn back yes sewn back
\nwith a darning needle
\nits a, bloody attack
\nthe pain must be excruciating
\nand no wonder for they cry
\nthey scream its just a nightmare
\nand some of course do die<\/p>\n
and what the hells is it all about
\nthose under feathers they
\nkeep the bird warm in the water
\nand therefore that will pay
\nin comforters, in bedding
\nfor rich sods in the west
\nor anywhere where it gets cold
\nDown is up and the best<\/p>\n
way to keep our bodies warm
\nbut nobody seems to know
\nthat up to 80% of all geese
\nare live plucked thats a blow<\/p>\n
to anyone’s realization
\nthat geese are tortured and
\nits all because of profit
\noh! yes we understand
\nthe blooody corporations
\nare at it all the time
\nany method for making it
\nhelping it to climb<\/p>\n
torture who cares they will say
\nget the workers too
\nstrip the bird until its naked
\nthats the thing to do
\nand the retailers are useless
\nthe labels tell you now’t
\nnobody is looking
\nwhat is it about?<\/p>\n
consumers remain ignorant
\nand those that know dont care
\nand even if they did
\nthe shops, most are not aware<\/p>\n
but it is happening out there
\nGeese are being stripped
\ntortured they scream as it happens
\nagain humans have dipped
\ninto the abyss gently
\nthey wear and use this down
\nthese feathers ripped from live birds backs
\nby some, low paid clown<\/p>\n
in China where it happens
\nin Hungary as well
\nbut also in other places
\nwe take these birds to Hell
\nand they are really intelligent
\nthey feel pain just like us
\nmillions of them get the treatment
\ndont kick up a fuss<\/p>\n
we make a lot of profit on
\nlive plucking so pipe down
\nthats the feeling in the trade
\ntheir bloody cries we drown
\nout with piped in music
\nthat way no one hears
\notherwise it would get to you
\nand raise some people’s fears<\/p>\n
Geese are birds and birds are daf’t
\nthats how some may think
\nBut geese are really genuine
\ngreat pets on the brink
\nthey do and will send intruders
\naway if any try
\nand break into your house dear friends
\nand that is no lie<\/p>\n
they make really excellent guard dogs
\nan they really seem to care
\nso then when we allow live plucking
\nwe have to be aware
\nthey feel each feather torn from them
\nimagine it, can you
\nyour hair pulled out until it bleeds
\nI mean what would you do<\/p>\n
probably die of shock I think
\nyou’d shake and cry and feel
\ntormented and tortured and sick in side
\nI mean this is for real
\nso why go on and do this
\nwhen you know its causing stress
\nis the profit worth it
\nI’d settle for less<\/p>\n
we have to stop this process
\ninsist on dead plucked down
\nif its live plucked boycott it
\nlets all go to town
\nlets boycott DOWN completely
\nuntil, we have a guarantee
