{"id":12196,"date":"2013-11-14T07:50:11","date_gmt":"2013-11-14T07:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=12196"},"modified":"2017-11-12T11:54:28","modified_gmt":"2017-11-12T11:54:28","slug":"goose-down-from-live-plucked-birds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2013\/11\/goose-down-from-live-plucked-birds\/","title":{"rendered":"Goose down from live plucked birds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hungary and China are exporters<br \/>\nof this stuff<br \/>\nin colder climes the population<br \/>\njust can&#8217;t get enough<br \/>\nwhen asked the industry<br \/>\ntells you<br \/>\nits all from the slaughterhouse<br \/>\nbut in point of fact they are lying<br \/>\nor mistaken<br \/>\nand my grouse<br \/>\nis with the public and with<br \/>\nproducers who live pluck and they do<br \/>\nin Sweden its been proven<br \/>\nits very very true<\/p>\n<p>birds for meat production<br \/>\nare plucked at least 4 times<br \/>\nand birds for egg production<br \/>\nthats when the figure climbs<br \/>\nto 15 times in some cases<br \/>\nsuch torture and such pain<br \/>\nimagine having your hair pulled out<br \/>\nby the roots it is insane<\/p>\n<p>great tufts of hair<br \/>\nits uninmaginable it is torture<br \/>\nthrough and through<br \/>\nits enough to make my eyes water<br \/>\nseeing what they do<br \/>\nit breaks my heart that<br \/>\nwomen would do this work<br \/>\nand be<br \/>\nhappy to torture geese like this<br \/>\nfor all eternity<\/p>\n<p>in many cases their skin is ripped<br \/>\nand sewn back yes sewn back<br \/>\nwith a darning needle<br \/>\nits a, bloody attack<br \/>\nthe pain must be excruciating<br \/>\nand no wonder for they cry<br \/>\nthey scream its just a nightmare<br \/>\nand some of course do die<\/p>\n<p>and what the hells is it all about<br \/>\nthose under feathers they<br \/>\nkeep the bird warm in the water<br \/>\nand therefore that will pay<br \/>\nin comforters, in bedding<br \/>\nfor rich sods in the west<br \/>\nor anywhere where it gets cold<br \/>\nDown is up and the best<\/p>\n<p>way to keep our bodies warm<br \/>\nbut nobody seems to know<br \/>\nthat up to 80% of all geese<br \/>\nare live plucked thats a blow<\/p>\n<p>to anyone&#8217;s realization<br \/>\nthat geese are tortured and<br \/>\nits all because of profit<br \/>\noh!
