They have always been true warriors
\nsurely this I know
\ntheir strength has so much going for it
\nand helps a man to grow
\nsharing in that light they shine
\nmakes for a better me
\nthe warrior that she is

\nthe women had the children
\nand cleared the land each day
\nplanted crops, sewed, carved and worked

the men hunted the animals

\nbut life and all its meaning

\nthem I do, for their fortitude
