a child was born
\nfrom its mother torn
\nshe bled, I bled, We bled
\nhalf a brain no limbs to speak of
\nI should really have been dead
\nbut inside me pumped a heart
\nas big as any
\nI had eyes ,and I could see
\nA wondrous sight
\nfor 8 months in her body
\nshe had carried me
\nher door she opened and
\nin streamed the light.<\/p>\n
People paused pretending
\nnot to look at me
\nthe question was I human
\non their lips
\nBut I was just like them
\nexcept my father was a soldier
\nwho went into the forest
\non his trips<\/p>\n
\nHe lived down in those tunnels
\nThe Americans were dropping
\nAgent Orange on them one and all
\nA defoliant as evil as any
\never made
\nAnd Vietnam was up against
\nthe wall<\/p>\n
The plants and trees all died
\nthe reason being
\nthe sick minds had decided
\nthey should use
\nsuch a terrible substance
\non the people
\ndecided we were scum
\nthey could abuse<\/p>\n
\nHe came back from the war
\ncompletely broken
\nhis skin, his health
\nhis body wracked with pain
\nMother couldn’t believe
\nhow much he’d altered
\nat night he shook he cried
\nas if it was plain<\/p>\n
\na man as strong as he had been
\nso damaged, by the fighting and
\nthe evils yes the evils
\nhe had seen<\/p>\n
I was born and my
\nchromosomes were shot away
\nAgent Orange had its way
\nwith me<\/p>\n
\nmy mother had 3 monsters
\nshe was beside herself
\n2 had been put down
\nbut I could see
\nthe others didn’t look
\nat all like humans
\nso I was the exception
\nthankfully<\/p>\n
\nhalf a brain
\nno limbs to speak of
\nJust a beating heart
\nLife for me seemed wonderful
\nwould it end as it did start
\nI didn’t care
\nI was a soul now completely
\nin control
\nmy faculties were complex
\nthe dioxins saw to that
\nA deforestation herbicide
\nYes! that was where I was at<\/p>\n
My life was there before me
\nwhere the hell will I
\nend up, on some scrap heap
\nor tomorrow will I die
\nFrom America Land of the free
\nthis evil substance fell
\na concoction from the
\nDevils bowels
\nfrom deepest darkest hell.<\/p>\n
\nAll around there’s many
\nmany worse than me
\na nation giving birth
\nto creatures
\nthe depravity
\nof nations
\nwilling to use such vile
\nchemicals on a race
\nof other human beings
\nis a terrible disgrace<\/p>\n
a crime against humanity
\nthe ugliest of crime
\nGeneva don’t believe her
\nconventions there’s no rhyme
\nor reason there’s no ethic
\nwar created men
\nwho were morally so evil
\nHistory asks when<\/p>\n
any other era spawned
\nsuch a devilish breed
\nand it would be hard to fine one
\nclearly such rotten seed
\nhad flourished in that chosen place
\na malnourished mutant strain
\nprepared to unleash a frenzied
\nkind of unbelievable pain<\/p>\n
and so I please my mother
\nshe’s wizened and she’s frail
\nfather died really before he returned
\nHe’s forever pale
\nnot a quarter of the man
\nthat left to fight those years before
\neaten up[with cancer
\nand the brutality of War.<\/p>\n
(Agent orange is now being used to clear land in Brazil to make way for more cattle more beef for the hungry carnivores)
