\nare suffering so
\nstarving for days on end
\nout of the flow
\nribs jutting skywards
\neyes doleful, they
\nwait for some food
\nlost souls today<\/p>\n
there appears little hope
\nthat this state of affairs
\nwill improve economically
\nit kind of tears
\nlumps out of one’s psyche
\nwitness the grief
\nthe pain and the evil
\nthat beggars belief<\/p>\n
one incident recently
\nin front of the mayor
\none of the workers
\nclearly aware
\ndragged a large dog
\non a rope around its neck
\nstrangling it
\nbut no one did check<\/p>\n
the man heard the chocking
\nand all he could say
\nwas he was making some kebabs
\nas he drove away
\nin front of the mayor
\nits all matter of fact
\nnobody really can even react<\/p>\n
its just all around them
\njust in their face
\nFlorina, the mayor
\nthey are all disgrace
\nwith not enough money
\nwhat can they do
\ndogs eating dogs
\nin the kennels
\nits true<\/p>\n
few people care anymore
\nthey neglect
\nor throw out their dogs
\nthats how they elect
\nto get through the day
\nits a state of affairs
\nthat should never be
