Romania has recently passed a law that she
\nwill slaughter any stray dogs on the streets
\nthat they now see
\nso we can expect real carnage
\nwhich really is a shame
\neveryone is at it there
\nthey treat it like some game
\npoisoning, and hanging and setting them on fire
\nRomania is sinking in its very own dark mire
\nbut out in Transylvania Bram Stokers
\nplace of joy
\nthe wild wolves still create their place
\nin the forests they employ
\ntheir stealth and all their prowess
\nthe Carpathians was where
\nthese mystic souls like shadows
\nlearned to be aware<\/p>\n
wolves are silent souls significantly so
\nthey can slip into ones space
\nand some may never know
\nwolves are so adaptable, time
\nhas taught them how
\nto cope with human beings
\nwho are seldom in the now
\nits curious the dogs that
\ncame down the aeons they
\nhave ended up worse off it seems
\nfor they are made to pay
\nfor the shortcomings of the two legs
\nwith all their mighty power
\nbut out there in the mountains
\nare as dainty as the flower
\nconfronted by the storm clouds
\nand the prevailing hail
\ntorn down and blown skywards
\npart of their own sad tale<\/p>\n
wolves though are adaptable
\nand can live along side
\nthe two legs if they have to
\nseemingly denied
\nthe freedom and the wildness
\nas dwellers of dire doom
\nthey are able to subsist
\nand prosper this despite the gloom
\nof run down broken towns
\nthey manage, they are versatile
\nsurvivors and emotionally
\ncreatures of great style<\/p>\n
so much is on their shoulders
\nand I know they are aware
\nmuch more so, than the two legs
\nimprisoned by despair
\nhauled up in their hatred
\ntheir prejudice their pain
\nunable to see the picture
\nor hear the wild refrain<\/p>\n
solidly so selfish
\nimagining the world
\nowes them all a living
\nthe wolf though he is hurled
\nforth into the chasm
\nand takes it with such verve
\nhaving suffered many hardships
\nand building up his nerve<\/p>\n
he wanders, being shot at
\nhe hides he knows the score
\nthey come down from the mountains
\nwith their blazing guns of war
\nout of helicopters they fly
\nabove him, they
\nshow only hatred for him
\nand he is made to pay<\/p>\n
but up in the Carpathians
\na refuge big and wide
\nwith care a great facility
\nand we wolves are inside
\nthe wilderness protects us
\nthe two legs still are frail
\nand so we run their gauntlet
