We are now close to extinction
\ndespite the years when we
\nhave fought hard to just live our lives
\ncompletely naturally
\nBirute has been an angel
\nbut the corporates we know
\nare making a killing
\nfrom the Palm oil that they grow
\nthey do not care even a little
\nfor us and all our friends
\nand so many souls are dying
\nit seems now that it ends
\nin total vile disaster
\nas our rainforest are torn
\na’sunder by the chain saws and the
\nJCB’s to warn
\nyou what will happen to all of you
\nnobody now hears
\nwe are lost we are driven back
\nwe have our daily tears
\nso many of us dying
\nso many of us maimed
\nso many of us threatened
\nits the corporates now blamed
\nPalm oil being grown just everywhere
\nit seems to be
\nthat all this profit that they make
\ndoesn’t account for me
\nas Orangutans we depend on the trees
\nfor everything
\nand the crazy saws and chopping blades
\nhonestly they bring
\nfire and brimstone to us
\nthey poison and they tear
\nall my family are running
\nwe are running everywhere
\nthere is no where to hide it seems
\nwe are at and end and we
\nwill perish in the horrible fires
\nwhy does it have to be<\/p>\n
one last hope just one last plea
\ndon’t buy this palm oil craze
\ntell your supermarkets
\nyou want to save the days
\nyou want to save the forests
\nyou need to see us be
\nliving for a few more years
\nhigh up in the tree
\nif you refuse to help us
\nif you just look away
\nwe will become extinct
\ngoodbye is all I can say
\nI feel let down by all of you
