North Dakota has seem some progress
\nin the passed few years but it has come
\nwith a big price tag
\nand a lot of tears
\nthe fat cats, the oil barons
\nhave no doubt struck it rich
\nbut the people, who are living,
\naround there
\nhow they pitch
\nthe whole sad fracking business
\nin the light of what we see
\nand what I’m about to illustrate
\nnow rising exponentially
\nand I think its detrimental
\nto the environment and to life
\nthat some have made a killing
\nbut most have felt the strife<\/p>\n
some adverse strain has surfaced
\non water supplies, I hear
\non sewerage systems also
\nand there’s a lot of fear
\nthe Bakken crude that caught fire
\non the train back in July
\nwhen Lac Megantic was blown away
\nand may souls did die
\nthe crude that train was carrying
\nwas fracked oil a vile cocktail
\nand when it all exploded
\nit left a horrific trail
\nof carnage, people vapourised
\nno wounded they were dead
\na 1km blast radius
\nwhich has clearly led
\npeople to ask questions
\nand now what do we see
\na spillage from the Tesaro pipeline
\nin Tioga that must be
\nawesome, such contamination
\nfrom again the Bakken shale
\nfracked oil spewing everywhere
\na very tragic tale
\n20,600 barrels its going to cost
\na lot
\nand the long term affects
\ndisastrous
\nand the spillage it was not
\nreported due to the government
\nshut down a lot now will ask why
\neven more pollution
\nand so hard to quantify<\/p>\n
fracking has its supporters
\nbut long term it will be seen
\nhow the fat cats make their killing
\nand the whole damn oil machine
\nbecomes a rolling profit source
\nbut the local people they
\nsoon realise the losses fall
\non them, and how they pay
\nloss of their amenities
\ntheir water and their soul
\ntheir properties perhaps their health
\nand definitely their control
\nDont be taken in by all the hype
\nyou must stand firm
\nthe planet stands to lose
\na lot really thats long term
\naccidents do happen
\nfracking 2 miles down
\nits hard to control that ruptured shale
\nand if there is a town
\nnearby then they will suffer
\ndespite the puff and lies
\nput out by the frackers
\nunder some official guise<\/p>\n
*we must not forget the Exxon Mobil spill caused through fracking
\nfrom the tar sands which spilled into Mayflower Arkansas in 04\/2013
