Pigs are clean
\nbut men are dirty
\nthey keep pigs feeling dirty too
\ncrowd them into stinking pens
\nand that makes them feel beside themselves
\nwhen they go to the slaughterhouse
\nthey’re washed with jet sprays and gradually
\nherded down a ramp
\nwhere Death is waiting and they be
\nso aware that Death is near
\nthey feel it smell it
\nsense it
\nfear
\novercomes them and they scream
\nits like some weird horrific dream
\nsome vile nightmare
\nas they do
\nwalk more slowly
\nstraight into
\nthe killing place
\ntheir cries we hear
\nas the knife goes in
\na final tear
\neach pig in turn
\nis sick with the pain
\nand cries out one last time
\nbut that is in vain<\/p>\n
one after the other
\nthey twitch and die
\none after another
\nthey truthfully cry
\none after another
\nand when you hear
\nwhat they go through
\nyou feel that fear<\/p>\n
it will be with you
\nall your life
\nat the moment the butcher
\nthrust in the knife
\nat that very moment
\nyou feel that pain
\nits so intense
\nand yes again<\/p>\n
in those quiet periods
\nyou will feel
\nthat pain again

can you feel it

remember the pigs
