There was a time
\na while ago
\nwhen everybody cared
\nwhen animals
\nwere respected
\nand their sweet lives we shared
\nthen came the revolution
\nthe factory farm brigade
\nbehold the corporate monsters
\nthe vile disparate Trade<\/p>\n
mass production followed
\nmorons soon replaced
\nthe happy smiling farmers
\nand the whole world
\nwas disgraced
\nbehind closed doors
\nin great vile sheds
\nthe CAFO’s got to grow
\nmini fukashima’s
\nbut very few did know<\/p>\n
pollution on a scale
\nthat fills the nightmares
\nof a few
\nhealth issues on a awful scale
\nand its all around us too
\nlakes of waste material
\nnow rotting in the sun
\nthe prophets there are none around
\nwhen profit is such fun<\/p>\n
our environments are degraded
\npristine rivers become vile
\nalgae blooms spread every which way
\ncan we reconcile
\nourselves to realise that we
\nallowed this shit to come
\nwe allowed these monsters
\nto take away
\nwhat Nature had for some<\/p>\n
years given so freely
\na pristine wilderness
\npacked with every conceivable good
\nperfection let me stress
\neverything in balance
\nthis is what we had
\nand then the corporates
\nmuscled in and of course they were quite mad
\nand what was purely natural
\nit was replaced by those
\nconcentration camps of filth
\nand, of course they rose
\nquietly in the backwoods
\ngreat sheds containing souls
\nhundreds of thousands of chickens
\nsupervised by trolls<\/p>\n
who had no idea about hygiene
\nno idea or sense
\nthey were heartless individuals
\neverywhere was tense
\npollution in the blood of those
\nwho managed these sheds saw
\nan explosion of the filth and shit
\nand blood and snot and gore<\/p>\n
lakes of it then ran into the pristine
\nrivers where
\nfish and beautiful natural fauna
\nfelt the mass despair
\nalgae blooms went everywhere
\nfish died straight a way
\na sickness spread across the place
\nand brought awful decay<\/p>\n
We had nature on our doorstep
\nin our cities racked with smoke
\nwith industrial pollution rising
\nyes a joke
\nand now the countryside the lakes
\nthe rivers once pristine
\nwere even worse the natural world
\nwas now so far from green<\/p>\n
the first people saw the outcome
\nthe heavens saw it too
\nbut the politicians got their
\nmoney and allowed the sods to screw
\nmore and more out of us all
\nto so pollute the land
\nanyone with any sense
\ntried to make them understand<\/p>\n
but we are called the terrorists
\nthe activists those who
\ntell the king he has nothing on
\nthe storybooks could woo
\nmany a soul to activism
\nbut once again we saw
\nthe politicians the kick back kings
\ninfiltrate the law<\/p>\n
so the soothsayers were bludgeoned
\nand the pollution it got worse
\nnobody was listening it was just a curse
\npeople ate their vast amounts of flesh
\nand many died
\ncancer became an epidemic
\nand then medicine lied<\/p>\n
chemotherapy flourished
\nmore poison for the soul
\nvaccinations surfaced more poison
\nand the role
\nof what we had and what we have
\ncarried on at speed
\nand many a soul has laid their head
\nand just begun to bleed<\/p>\n
the world is now at the crossroads
\nI don’t know if we ever can
\nget back what we all had
\nwe need a world wide ban
\non corporate activity
\non the new world order tribe
\nwe need now a profusion
\nof love and care its tried<\/p>\n
and tested, it could happen
\nif we, all pulled as one
\nif we put love in front of hate
\nlike some of us have done
\nbut it now has to encompass
\nevery thinking soul
\neveryone on this great planet
