To The “Walls of the world”
\nin which we are hurled
\nbeside ourselves with pain
\nif we could write on the walls
\nof the world
\nwould it all be in vain?
\nlooking through the windows
\nat the mountains and the sky
\nat the oceans and the beaches
\nand the people passing by
\nlooking at the animals
\nfeeling their true plight
\nhearing the cries of panic
\nfrom the Elephants at night
\nwhen the chain saw gang are visible
\nthat’s when we’re inclined to ball
\na time when we would choose
\nI think to write upon the wall
\nThe Rhino as it hears its horn sawn
\noff possibly it may
\nalso like to write something
