Ah! here I am
\nthe slaughterhouse
\nthe smell that awful smell
\nthe slaughterhouse they call it
\nto me it smells like Hell
\nthe screaming
\nAH! the screaming its everywhere
\nmy head
\nits in my ears its in my soul
\nsomebody once said
\nthe slaughterhouse is where you go
\nwhen you run out of luck
\nwhen they load you into that great
\n16 wheeler truck
\nits true we all got loaded
\nand I for some reason am here
\nalone without my friends and family
\nin a little shed and I fear
\nwhy I’m here away from all the machinery
\nbut I
\nrealise it a holding place
\nand I am about to die
\nI don’t want to die I don’t
\nI’m not ready to die I’m not sick
\nthat door down there is opening
\nno I never miss a trick
\ncan I back out of this area
\ncan I get out that hole
\ncan I get out of this area
\ncan I save my soul
\nyes I can I push on through
\nand I’m out in the open yard
\nI cut my ear and its bleeding
\nthat was bloody hard<\/p>\n

and there’s the guy with fork lift truck
\nchasing after me
\nI got to get out of this place
\nI’ve just got to get free
\nI loved my friend called gertie
\nand I don’t know where she be
\nbut somehow I have to get away
\nbut he’s caught up with me
\nand he hits me with a shovel
\noh no he’s injuring me
\nhe tried to hook me up the sod
\nand again I do get free
\nand he hits me and he hits me
\nand he hits me and I lie
\nbleeding in the yard
\nand you got it folks I die<\/p>\n

the last thing I remember
\nwas the evil on his face
\nthe ugly sod took out a rod
\nand beat me at a pace
\nthese humans they are monsters
\nall we do is try
\nto live our short lives happily
\nas we can, which is really why
\nwe don’t know why we are ever born
\nto face this kind of pain
\nI hope I never have to, come back
\nto this place again<\/p>\n
