You have to be a philosopher
\nto live with you lot who
\nknow all about the world
\nand really nothing that you do
\nis good for our shared planet
\nyou chop down all the trees
\nand we the great Arborial clan
\nneed them if you please
\nso if you want to help us
\nand many of you do
\nleave the trees to grow
\nthey make for a lovely view
\nand lots of souls live on them
\nand around them so its right
\nto leave them where they were planted
\nwhere they develop might<\/p>\n
I sit here feeling so provoked
\nand angry at you all
\nas all around the crushing sounds
\nof machinery does call
\non our deep emotions
\nfor all these mechanical saws
\ncut deep into our being
\nand get the big applause<\/p>\n
the forests need the energy
\nbased on age old rules
\nthe principles of steadiness
\nand there are various schools
\nof thought based on such thinking
\nbut clearly we must see
\nthat what ever happens to our forests
\nwon’t end up happening to me<\/p>\n
