Time only tests our memories
\nbut with hearts so
\nfull of woe
\nfor all our loved ones
\nwho were taken from us
\nyears ago
\nits in our quieter moments
\nwhen each of us recalls
\ntheir love and care
\nit was always there

\nbelieve that adage that
\ntime heals
\nit doesn’t heal at all
\nif anything it consolidates
\nand helps to overhaul

\nof their wisdom and their care

we are the first people
