\nnobody knows
\nits not an underclass
\nthe problem just grows
\nin all walks of life
\nits apparently
\nnow on a scale
\nand it is hard to see
\nhow it can be stopped
\nfor the perception is there
\nthe farmers are doing it
\nthere is little care
\nfactory farms exist
\nand they are so cruel
\nthe dairy industry
\nonly a fool
\nwould imagine the murder and mayhem
\nthat’s there
\nits swamping us all
\nin great waves of despair
\nand ordinary owners are
\nfollowing suit
\ncats, dogs and horses
\nand what’s at the root
\nis a general selfishness
\nand narcissistic view
\nits all self indulgence
\nthe ungenerous do
\nfor themselves and for others
\nno interest at all
\nno respect just self seeking
\nand really that’s true
\nanimals used for hunting
\nfor fighting for showing off
\nnever for their loyalty
\nfor their contribution
\nits seems no solution
\nmany alas they just don’t
\nhave a clue
\nand if something comes up
\nits out with the pet
\ndown to the pound
\nwe’re in such deb’t
\nthe first one to go
\nis the cat or the hound
\njust too much to keep them
\nto keep them around
\nand that’s what we see
\nand the rest of it just
\nsickens me bashing them
\nit does disgust
\nmost thinking people
\nits beastly to see
\nthem copying commerce
