My hatred for the trappers
\nspills off of many a page
\na revulsion of their tactics
\nfor me I cannot gauge
\nthe nausea I manifest
\nthe loathing of their act
\ntheir loveless is offensive
\nand their methods just distract
\neach picture tells a story
\nand no story is the same
\neach goes through such agony
\nfor the trapper its some game
\nhe lays his traps all over
\ncovers them with disguise
\nthen buggers off and leaves
\nthem
\nto be his big surprise
\nI really cannot bring myself
\nto imagine how they feel
\nthose innocent souls whilst wandering
\nand feeding know its real
\nconcealed in some dark hollow
\nthis steel trap springs to life
\nand cuts into their precious limbs
\nand causes untold strife<\/p>\n
but does it cause them anger
\napparently they seem
\nable to just calmly
\nhope perchance to dream
\nthey don’t seem to be vindictive
\ntheir hearts prefer the woe
\nthey may grimace they may cry inside
\nbut that they do not show<\/p>\n
they hallucinate and realise
\nthat this is their last day
\nthey struggle on regardless
\nsome tear their limbs away
\nhow wretched is that process
\nwhat goes on in their mind
\nas their hearts are broken
\nwhich clearly some we find
\nare
\nall that deception
\nit took their faith away
\ntheir silent affirmations
\nare unlikely now to pay<\/p>\n
I see the various animals
\nstretched out on the ground
\nhaving gone through
\nagregious agony
\nand perhaps not made a sound
\nuntil the brave young hunter
\ncomes by to see his kill
\nand dispatches the injured victim
\nwith his boot for that extra thrill<\/p>\n
for that sexual high he’s getting
\nfor that evil grisly smirk
\noh isn’t he a brave sod
\nand isn’t this great work
\nand wasn’t that a positive
\nthing that he just did
\ndiscounted all the suffering
\nand just lifted the lid<\/p>\n
letting down humanity
\nand lifted the victim to
\na level far above this creep
\njust, for what he did do
\nnot one ounce of compassion
\nnot a glimmer, nothing there
\nand no thought of the agony
\nthat it had tried to share<\/p>\n
already there were maggots
\nscything through the soul
\nmany mouths already feeding
\nan ever widening hole
\ndeveloping in the animals back
\nthe trapper took his time
\nand allowed that added burden
\nand the pain level to climb<\/p>\n
I sit here viewing pictures
\nof trapped souls who have been
\nkilled by these contraptions
\nthis ill gotten machine
\nits mechanism too vile for words
\nwhere do we put the blame
\nall I know is its reprehensible
\nand does inflame<\/p>\n
me and lots of activists
\nwho see these vile results
\nwho hear the voiceless crying
\nand watch those dark insults
\ncoming from the murderers
\nfor that is all they be
\ngrovelling in the gutter
