Indian Circus
\nappears to be big business
\nits been around a few years too
\nand draws
\nquite a crowd apparently
\nmostly to see the Elephants
\nperform some meaningless tricks
\nbut there are flaws<\/p>\n
in all of this and what we see
\nis cruelty
\nits blatant its not hidden
\nit appears
\nto be what trainers do to their wild
\ncharges
\nbash them with a spike
\nbehind their ears<\/p>\n
now elephants are big and strong
\nand heavy
\nbut a spike behind your ears
\nit really hurts
\nthe pain is clearly evident
\nthe way the elephant jumps
\nand from its eyes the tears
\noh yes it squirts<\/p>\n
its agonising watching grown men
\ndo this
\nto animals that could crush them
\nwith one sweep
\ncrush them into powder
\nbut all resist temptation
\nreally its enough to make you weep<\/p>\n
they get a constant battering
\nupon their legs and thighs
\nunder the curtain on their private parts too,
\nrealise
\nthey suffer how they suffer
\nfor the right to entertain
\nIndian’s who clearly don’t realise that pain<\/p>\n
that’s inflicted time and time again
\nthere are lesions everywhere
\ncuts and whips and lacerations
\njust complete despair
\nand really what’s it all about
\nso an elephant can perform
\nclimb on some rickety table
\nand let the big crowd warm<\/p>\n
to what this soul is doing
\ntesting its weight to try
\nand get the crowd to gasp a bit
\nbut no one asks now why?
\nthey go out in their hundreds
\npart with their rupees
\nand watch an animals getting beaten
\nits all a bloody wheeze<\/p>\n
it gives the trainers space to really
\nbrutalize and cause
\nfear within those animals
\nand in fact they seldom pause
\nthe Peta film from India
\nis explicit for we see
\ntorture during a live show
\nthey don’t care obviously<\/p>\n
Circus is such terror for the animals
\nthey use
\nreally it is pure and simple
\nthe trainers do abuse
\ntheir station circus should be banned
\nclosed down right away
\nand leave the elephants where they were born
