Who remembers Azerbaijan
\nBP remember it all began
\nfaulty cement or so they say
\nwhen the bloody disaster was on its way
\nand then it happened all again
\nthe Gulf Coast disaster
\nand it was plain
\nthis was even worse this time
\nnothing learned so another climb
\nout of the abyss where 11 souls
\nperished carrying out their roles
\n4.9 million barrels of oil
\ntipped into the sea and began to boil
\n2 million gallons of oil based dispersant
\nwas then sprayed to contain
\nand this disaster caused untold damage
\nand truly so much pain
\nand now we see some repercussions
\nits not Islam and its not the Russians
\nits all about the corporations
\nand their lousy operations
\ndeep sea drilling is where we
\nsee
\nmassive risks eventually
\nand its confirmed now by the sight
\nof sea life that does cause a fright
\nmutations they are everywhere
\neye less shrimps and claw less crabs
\nsores and lesions is it fair?
\noozing festering such despair
\nagain more arrogance we display
\nwhite shrimps it seems have been
\nblown away
\nbrown shrimps they too have no eyes
\nand no eye sockets a surprise
\ncrabs shells they have remained soft
\ngaping holes their legs aloft
\nawful lesions everywhere
\nbloodied wounds which so many share
\ncontamination has clearly made
\nthe sea life family kind of fade
\ninto oblivion one by one
\nmutations picked out by the sun
\nin the sand still we can see oil globules
\nits biodegradability
\nfar longer than they thought it would be<\/p>\n
But despite all this the EPA
\nsays you can eat it
\nits all okay
\nthe facts are they don’t really know
\nor care I think what goes on below
\nits someone else’s problem, they
\npass the buck that’s what they say
\nwhether its deep sea drills or fracking
\nwe now know that they are lacking
\nwhen the shit does hit the fan
\n they go
\ninto their bunker plan
\nand we suffer more than what some do
\nwe know the score we pay the price
\nand the price we pay
\nits far from nice
\nits out of the news
\nand not on TV
\nso nobody knows
\nits kept low key
\nbut the repercussions
\nare worse than bad
\nand for all the sea life
