2 million live there
\nthe capital city
\nthe Dambovita flows
\nalong to my ditty
\nnorth of the Danube
\nthat grey silver sway
\nand most live within the city
\nthey say<\/p>\n
the street children most of them
\nseem to have gone
\nin their place are the strays
\nand a lot live upon
\nsides of the road in shop fronts
\nin the park
\nsome in empty buildings
\nscavenging after dark<\/p>\n
packs get together and they
\nsometimes do
\nfrighten some people
\nbut really its true
\nthey are strays they do breed
\nthere is problems here
\nbut the cruelty aspect
\nand all of that fear<\/p>\n
engendered in this place
\none has to ask why
\nsome people are so cruel
\nand some strays they die
\nbeaten with sticks kicked
\nit seems people do
\nget very frustrated with them
\nthat is true<\/p>\n
and their view is they ought
\nto do something and lash out which is
\n wrong
\nbecause after all these dogs
\ndo belong
\nin Bucharest too
\nthey were born there and so
\nthey have a perilous existence
\nwith those who would show
\nthem harm who would hurt them
\nhang them in fact
\nit seems this is how
\nsome people react<\/p>\n
