Today that concept came to mind
\nFarmmagedden it
\napparently is in the pipeline
\nin St Louis it might sit
\nsquarely in thoughts of one
\nAdam Shriver who
\nbelieves it would be possible
\nto exact another view
\nthat of animals suffering
\nsince factory farms must be
\nan element in which to produce
\nmeat then he could see
\na neural path adjustment
\nthat just could conceivably
\ndo away with the animals pain and suffering
\nwhich he
\nfeels rightly is tremendous
\nthat agony one might
\nfeel, the animal suffered
\nreally however slight
\nif tinkering could be applied
\nthe animal feel no pain
\nthen the factory farms could
\nincrease in size and the meat eaters
\ncould gain
\nthe complete satisfaction
\nthat no guilt would then befall
\nthem for choosing to eat meat
\nthat seems to be the call
\nI find this entertaining
\na principle in time
\nwe keep on torturing earthlings
\nbut from the pit we climb
\nwe look into our mirrors
\nand we see a saintly soul
\nwe do our ghastly jobs down there
\nbut have taken back control
\nour psyche cleansed completely
\nby our fresh neural tinkering
\nthe earthling feels a kind of thrill
\nfor that’s its chosen role<\/p>\n
I mean to say we clearly
\nhave overlooked the fact
\nthat animals are sentient
\nanimals react
\nnot just to pain
\nbut what they see
\nwhat they hear
\nand feel
\nwhat they smell
\nso the next step
\nwhat is it pray tell
\nwe take away their precious eyes
\ntheir precious ears
\nand noses
\nwe take away their tiny brains
\nfor after all that poses
\nproblems if they contemplate
\nand dream perhaps that they
\nreally are not animals at all
\nand we should pay
\nagain the question comes to mind
\nwith this genetic stance
\nthat possibly what we will find
\nbeing part of the dance
\ninto the perceived future
\nis that Nature might then choose
\nto co author our being
\nand possibly peruse
\nour role in all this progress
\nto see if she might make
\nsome new fan dangle adjustments
\nto what is our slice of cake
\nmay be a neural pathway
\nprecluding us from pain
\nfrom seeing and from being
\nand from hearing and may train
\nthe animals to re create
\nless consciousness, so they
\nretaliate much more quickly
\nwhen we are in their way
\nwhen tinkering with nature
\nwe have to understand
\nthat she has gained the experience
\nof many lifetimes, and
\nhas waited and has listened
\nand has experienced it all
\nnot one lifetime
\nbut a million lifetimes
\nand that tune she just might call<\/p>\n
