So many pay the ultimate price
\nso many of us die alone
\ntrying to protect our babies
\ncaught up in the killing zone
\nTai ji it is infamous
\nIn Dolphin circles I suppose
\nwe suffer from humanity
\nand the threat to us
\nit grows and grows
\nToday I perish for my baby
\nshe was my life
\nshe was my soul
\nfrightened by the banging pipes
\nof fishermen out of control<\/p>\n
With my baby we were herded
\ninto coves and then we knew
\nthey were going to slaughter us
\nall the stories they were true
\nthere were friendly people waiting
\nbut the monsters were there too
\nI had to try and save my baby
\nthat was all that I could do
\nI saw him in the water by me
\nclearly he was menacing me
\nthe inevitable dawned on me clearly
\nthe end was near it had to be<\/p>\n
I thrust my body directly at him
\nand felt the blade and of course knew
\ndeath was certain it was over
\nmy babies life was over too
\nmy judgement of the situation
\nwas helplessness and that would be
\nthe lasting image I could ever
\ntake to Heaven tragically<\/p>\n
what became of my sweet baby
\nas a mother I dare not think
\nthrough my guidance we were hoodwinked
\nand clearly taken to the brink
\ndesolation was my last thought
\nit welled up in me and I
\nfelt the agony of losing
\nin minutes I alone did die<\/p>\n
Taiji seeks its special culture
\ntalks tradition wants no less
\nit has some how made a difference
\ntalking down the Dolphins stress
\nthe world at large is unconvinced
\nand we great mammals of the sea
\nwe suffer how we suffer here
\nin this vile place known as Tai ji<\/p>\n
Today I lost my little baby
\nToday I lost my life and I
\nam just one Dolphin, just one mother
\njust one soul who had to die
\nwho had to try and protect my baby
\neach of us has that feeling for
\neach other when incensed with danger
\neven with the threat of gore<\/p>\n
that is how we are made up
\nnever to leave an injured friend
\nnever to walk out on a colleague
\nbut to stay until the end
\nThe Japanese they know this clearly
\nand use this quality to create
\nmayhem in the Dolphin nation
\nand slaughter us now at a rate<\/p>\n
The cove runs red with blood and mucous
\nour souls cry as we realise
\ndespite evolving to a high place
\nhuman beings they have eyes
\nand hearts that clearly are persuaded
\nto absolve them from the fear
\ntheir consciousness is has been downgraded
\nand I can’t even see a tear<\/p>\n
he thrust his blade into my body
\nI saw his face close up to me
\nif anything he was grimacing
\na factor that just couldn’t be
\nat that point I knew it was all over
\nhumanity had reached a low
\nfar beneath the Dolphin level
