\nsurpasses gas and oil
\nExxon mobile enjoy the thrill
\nbut it makes my blood boil
\nso selfish so uncaring
\nits oil and risks they say
\nare really not as important
\nonce it all gets underway
\nunder threat of lethal force
\nGreenpeace showed the way
\nThe Russian coastguard threatens
\nand makes it clear today
\nRussia supports the exploration
\nof this world resource
\nthe kara Sea and all who be
\nare threatened with lethal force
\nso Greenpeace heads out of the area
\nhaving exposed it all
\nin a climate now of certainty
\nthat disaster may befall
\nus all in this far environment
\nwhose climate is severe
\nthe slightest leak would ruin
\neverything now around here
\nwe hold our breath
\nnow waiting
\nfor the news that spreads it far
\nthat leaks are now occurring
\nand forever they will scar
\nthis pristine place packed full
\nof beautiful creatures still so rare
