As the people move out
\nso the dogs multiply
\nleft behind by the people
\nsome may just die
\nothers join gangs
\nand run with the pack
\ntake on the city
\nand learn to fight back<\/p>\n
this is reality
\nthis is the rule
\nof law in the jungle
\nall must now pool
\ndespite all the petting
\nwhen it comes to the crunch
\nthe wolf inside all of them
\ngoes after lunch<\/p>\n
no matter what breed
\nbig even small
\nthey all run together
\nyes one and all<\/p>\n
Detroit is crumbling
\ntrouble’s a foot
\nthe city is bankrupt
\nthey can’t be put
\nin shelters or re housed
\nthere’s no where to go
\nbut gang up and fight
\nas unrest does grow<\/p>\n
so many buildings
\nare boarded up there
\nso the dogs gain some access
\nand get some shared care
\nthe dog men are after them
\nbut what we see
\nis packs of them everywhere
\nand now they be<\/p>\n
fighting off pet dogs
\nand frightening some
\npeople who walk in the streets
\nthey just come
\nup to them in a group
\ngrowling they clearly
\nare a frightening troupe<\/p>\n
people who move
\nleaving their dogs behind
\nreally it riles me
\nit does blow your mind
\nhow callous some are
\njust throw the dog out
\nto fend for itself
\nthats what’s it about<\/p>\n
are they so dumb to what
\ndogs just may do
\nlost in a world of stress
\nno view
\njust up and go
\nand just forget
\nthat this sweet soul
\nonce was their pet<\/p>\n
they fed, took it for walks
\nand even to play
\npart of the family
\ntill they went away
\ntill they upped their
\nroots and just kind of fled
\nnot knowing whether
\nthe dog was dead <\/p>\n
it really shows
\ntheir base mentality
\nit could be even you
\nor me
\nif we lived with them
\nwe could be thrown out
\nshallow people
