Family pets become part of the family
\njust as important for all of us as we know
\ndogs or cats they embed themselves
\nwithin our hearts and minds
\nand relationships of course they grow and grow
\nand without a law protecting against
\nDeadly Force
\nwhat happened in our yard
\nthe tragedy
\nunfurled
\nwhen deputies came by to serve a summons
\nopened our gate
\nand we lost
\nour world
\nour emotions took a mighty hammering
\nas our dogs at play came over just to see
\nand one of the deputies took out his revolver
\nand shot our dogs and shot them one two three
\nBully, Boss and Kahlua lost their lives that day
\nin our yard and on our property
\nwith signs upon the gate that dogs were kept here
\nbut the police still came on in
\nthough they were free
\nthere has to be a law
\nagainst “deadly force”
\nclearly judgement here was shot away
\nthe dogs did not attack them
\nthey just came to see
\nbut that was enough for “deadly force”
\nfrom the deputy<\/p>\n
Justice is what we are seeking
\nwe have lost 3 family friends
\nin our yard on our property
\nthe message that this sends
\nis no where are we safe now
\nand our animals clearly they
\nwill be shot just for being there
\nwhich cannot be the way<\/p>\n
we need a law protecting us
\nand our pets, right away
\nthe police are clearly poorly trained
\nfor what happened on that day
\nwas a tragedy for our family
\nfor our dogs and for us all
\nand the deputy who shot them
\nit shouldn’t have been his call<\/p>\n
that law must be brought in now
\nsafe guarding families
\nwe are going through such grief
\nthe time is right to seize
\nwhatever opportunity to raise
\nthe question here
\nwe need justice for our babies
