The biolumencence creates a path of light
\nWhere Salmon leap the rapids, in what, is the twilight
\nClose to, they stand majestic
\ntowering shadowy souls each paws the cold
\nnight air acting out their roles
\nas salmon leap the rocky scapes
\nso agile and dignified
\nThe wildest sharpest claws you’ll ever see
\nare on our side
\nGreat teeth strip chunks of flesh and skin
\nand swallow it with zest
\nStanding in this torrent, the thunderous
\nwaters test
\nThe wildest Bears, the stalwart wolves
\nThe salmon steely grey
\nWho leap against the rivers flow
\nUpwards, and some pay
\nTaking on the forces of nature as they do
\nValiantly transgressing time and immortality too
\nAnd we the Wolves of Nari
\nwe are right beside a Bear
\nwho is tossing half eaten specimens
\nup into the air
\nFeeding us as luck would have it
\na crescendo of fearless flight
\nComing down around us like the hail that falls at night
\nAnd Lone and I, in savage mode crunch on bone and skin
\nTasting the life force and blood
\narrested by the din
\nOf the white water rapids crashing onwards
\nto
\nThe ocean many miles away beyond the mountains blue
\nDespite the feeding frenzy many salmon will,<\/p>\n
make it back to where they came from
\nto their river, still
\nAnd there will mate, and die their bodies wracked with every pain
\nSuffering the journey home and the great refrain
\nThe Bears have gorged the night away and with stomachs very full, satiated they will sleep clearly most thankful
\nAnd we wolves well were clearly in the right place at the right time
