\nand the trainers
\nand the experts
\nyea them all
\nbut the horses
\nif their losing
\nor blimey if they fall
\nno one cares a sausage
\nhonest no one cares
\nput them down that’s the end
\nno hard and fast rule
\nbut the emphasis is on money
\nand everything costs loads
\nand if a horse can hack it
\nthen its unlikely that it bodes
\nwell for future prospects
\nand take “charmed hour”
\nrecently snapped a cannon bone
\nin her second race
\nthe power
\nneeded to compete
\nis so much and inevitably
\nthere are many victims
\nwhich nobody does see
\nthey are all around the jockey
\nand the trainer
\nbut the horse is carried off
\nand that’s its lot
\nends up in the slaughterhouse
\nanother victim shot
\nfrom stardom to the graveyard
\nhorses sadly they
\nare the victims of this
\nhorrid sport
\nthat’s how it seems to be<\/p>\n
but then the other competitors
\nfirst or second pays
\nbut 15th well its had it
\nit can count the days
\nwhen if that is the situation
\nthen alas it may
\nalso be a victim
\nfor nobody will pay
\nall the costs available
\nif there is no return
