Some put down success in life
\nto what they can afford
\nperhaps a mink coat
\nhanging in their wardrobe
\ntheir reward
\nthis insensitive philosophy
\nbased on human greed
\nshould be thought through
\na little more
\nand the question as to need
\nraised in all our psyche
\nwho needs the fur coat more
\nthe creatures who were born with it
\nor some human who will ignore
\nthe factor that they have skin
\nbut want another’s too
\nso they can wear it over there’s
\nparading as they do<\/p>\n
its a sort of a one-upmanship
\nme compared to you
\nlook I mean I’ve made it
\nand look what I can do
\nbut what can you do actually
\njust hand over your dough
\nand behind the scenes
\nthe carnage that you cause
\nyou don’t choose to know
\nbut Mink are little animals
\ncreated for a cause
\nso lets stop for a moment
\nyes, just a little pause
\nto consider why an animal
\nwas created after all
\nwas it for your fur coat?
\nthat thought should appal
\nits because it has its place
\nin life
\non the planet we all share
\nhuman earthlings
\nanimal earthlings
\nwe are everywhere
\nand each of us have meaning
\nhave wishes and desires
\neach raises a family
\ncontributes works and tires
\nbut man un kind creates
\nhis world and fills it full of sin
\nhe keeps his public ignorant
\nif all knowing he may not win
\nthe contracts he is after
\nand so of course we see
\nthe designers and the
\nfashion houses trying desperately
\nto keep the real truths from us all
\nby playing on the dream
\nof owning such a wondrous garment
\nthe creme of the cream
\nbut awful things have happened
\nterrible torture, we
\ndo not see the awful farms
\nand the poor creatures who be
\nholed up in the satanic cages
\ntill they all go mad
\nor the living souls that are captured
\nand now it gets so sad
\neach one is hung upon a hook
\nand whilst it struggles we
\nstrip off all its living skin
\negregiously
\nas it bleeds and pants and cries
\nwe, yes turn away
\nwe, block our ears
\nwe stem our tears
\nwhat we do is pay
\nwe give our cheques and credit cards
\nto those torturers in time
\nwho created those satanic farms
\nand those pits of slime
\nwho tortured and who slaughtered
\nthose animals once wild
\nand they did this without compassion
\neven to every child
\nbaby, pregnant female it mattered not
\nfor they
\nwere making lots of money
\nand knew that you would pay
\nwhatever they exacted
\nbecause you didn’t know
\nthe cruelty they all went through
\nso you my dear could go<\/p>\n
parading through the busy streets
\nor to the Princes ball
\ncould show off your real mink attire
\nand really all would fall
\nat your feet regarding
\nyou as a queen of sorts we’d show
\nrespect and understanding
\nbut we don’t want to know<\/p>\n
