A sickness now prevails
\nan arrogance beyond
\nreally any decency
\non how we should respond
\nthis evil this depravity
\nhas reached into our core
\ndiminishing all decency
\nand what we are living for<\/p>\n
as entertainment we will
\nsoon be offered
\na snap shot of the cruelty
\nto share
\nthe evils of incarceration
\non a factory farm
\na travesty that’s really rather rare
\ntheir mean existence scars
\nthe basic providence
\na chance to witness
\njust what we have done
\nits called a pig adventure
\nPig Hell is how they feel
\nI can’t imagine the where for all
\nand how this could be real<\/p>\n
all the production facilities
\nopen to those who
\nwould like to spend and hour or so
\nwondering what they do
\ncooped up in these crates and halls
\ninside all their days
\nrooting curiously adventurous
\nbut maligned in so many ways<\/p>\n
imprisoned in a facility
\nthat is alien and sad
\nthe pregnant ones
\nthe insemination areas
\nthe mad
\nthe mental states
\nthe frustration
\nall on public show
\nthe futility of living
\njust the place to go<\/p>\n
reduced down to a circus
\na mentality where they
\nthen become the performers
\npresumably people pay
\nto see their inner torture
\nand imagine that this is right
\npigs should live in prison cells
\nand be in the public’s sight<\/p>\n
their crime was birth
\ncreation offered them a space
\nand their lives would be documented
\nthey would know their place
\nevery single moment
\nof every single day
\nsomeone would be watching them
\nand laughing all the way<\/p>\n
an independent animal
\nforced to be on view
\nforced to stay inside a cell
\nwith nothing much to do
\nno sunshine to feel on one’s back
\nno mud to cool the skin
\nno roots to dig up in the wood
\nthat’s when life just wears thin<\/p>\n
a facility commanding entertainment for
\nfamilies to come into
\nI must say I abhor
\nthe insensitive creation
\nwhich will lead to more sadness for
\nthose prisoners all innocent
\nof crime and what is more<\/p>\n
to even contemplate this
\nleaves me feeling cold
\nleaves me with a sadness
\nand frustration that I am old
\nand beginning now to realise
\nthat morality has gone
\nthat the earthlings are now
\ncommodities
\nand their light has never shone<\/p>\n
so dimly and humanity has reached
\nan awful low
\nthe abyss is now upon us
\nan in it we seem to grow
\nto thrive for in this darkness
\nwe lose our eyes to see
\nwe lose our hearts to fathom
