In all 7 Narwhals have been captured for the Vancouver Aquarium and all of them have died.they are very sensitive souls they are very affected by changes of temperature and are very specialized feeders there is no way that the dead people could have ever adequately realised and fed them neither because of that could they have supplied their need without stress which of course kills them.
\nRecently they sacrificed a further family group and again all died the babies straight away the mother a little later and the father after a month or so. a tribute to those fine creatures.<\/p>\n
How sad, how very tragic
\nits arrogance gone mad
\nthe inuit could have told you
\nbut really its so sad
\nthis though is a story
\nthat plays out everywhere
\nthe indigenous have the knowledge
\nbut the dead are unaware<\/p>\n
we are very sensitive
\nto the climate and to where
\nwe get our food from actually
\nand really it does scare
\nus all to think the humans
\nhave the where for all to see
\nbut blindly go about their lives
\nin darkness naturally<\/p>\n
we feed under the pack ice
\non flat fish for what they
\nhave within their systems
\nare nutrients that stay
\nwithin our systems for a time
\nand benefit us so
\nyou cannot substitute a food
\nand expect us all to grow<\/p>\n
we are unique as a species
\ntemperature is keen
\nwe can’t hack deviation
\nwe are not some strange machine
\nwhere we live is where we have to live
\nto the wild places we go
\nto be stuck in some aquarium
\nproves how much you know<\/p>\n
money is your fuel it seems
\nthe making of it sucks
\nit does because it blinds you
\nto reality those bucks
\nseem more important to you
\nthan our lives, our futures, you
\nhave killed at least a number
\nand still in fact you do<\/p>\n
believe you have the answers
\nwhen the answer is that you
\nleave us where creation put us
\nthats what you must do
\nin many ways we are magical
\nthe unicorn of the sea
\nand because of that
\nthe need is there
\nto really leave us be<\/p>\n
this present loss of life
\nis once again a tragic thing
\nfor us Narwals we suffer
\nwhen we hear it, it does bring
\nthe angst out in our being
\nthat you dead people still try
\nand capture us
\nand show us off
\nand can’t see the reason why<\/p>\n
its such a stupid reason
\nwe are sensitively placed
\nwe cannot bear the differences
\nwe are wild, sea based
\nand really you must understand
\nto capture us will be
\na death sentence for the captured
\nits an inevitability <\/p>\n
