A tiny innocent lovely deer
\ncute and sweet and lacking fear
\nwas taken in by a shelter they
\nloved it and tended it,
\nit was the way
\nanyone would with an inkling
\nof heart
\nbut of course the finger wagging
\ndid start
\nthe anonymous phone calls
\nto the cops
\nwho came right away
\nthey pulled out the stops<\/p>\n
heavily armed in riot gear
\njust looking at them
\ninflates the fear
\nseized the fawn took it away
\nand brought it back
\nyes it did pay
\nin a body bag it was given back
\nit had faced the big attack
\nit was dead dead to the world
\nand in the body bag lay curled<\/p>\n
what it showed was the truest threat
\nthat all of us haven’t seen nothing yet<\/p>\n
and its gone viral
