\nthe forests
\ntheir diversity
\ntheir vastness
\nappears gone<\/p>\n
the culprit is apparently
\nthe Oil Palm race to see
\nthe whole of the former jungle
\nconverted which to me<\/p>\n
is simply wrong and shows above
\nall else the corporate way
\nof replacing natural order
\nwhich creates this vile display<\/p>\n
its arrogance, its ignorance
\nits short termism for
\nsome profit which just happens
\nthe rest they all ignore<\/p>\n
the jungle was created
\nover millennia and
\nprovides a perfect network
\nseemingly
\nunknown to them its advantages
\nits long term equilibrium
\nthe key<\/p>\n
its sustainable and supports
\na growing structure
\na long term real time synergy<\/p>\n
The oil palm is about the complete
\nopposite
\nits at present in vogue
\nwith the corporate world
\nits to do with all their margins
\nand their profitability
\ninto their big machine
\nits all been hurled<\/p>\n
and it acts quite like a blinker
\nfor the bigger picture, we
\nas environmentalists are prepared
\nto take a wider and sort of see<\/p>\n
one that just steps back a bit
\nand studies what to do
\nthat realises what was there
\nwas richness through and through<\/p>\n
it was natural it was balanced
\nit was really well thought through
\neverything was connected
\nand was helpful that’s my view<\/p>\n
and when corporates come into the frame
\npresuming they were right
\nbecause it ticked the profit box
\nthey failed to watch the light<\/p>\n
and now there are some victims
\nto this huge conflagration
\nthat’s swept across the countrywide
\nin more than one great Nation<\/p>\n
and many many species are
\nnow affected seriously
\nas the forest lands we scar<\/p>\n
this is just one tree,
\none insignificant tree
\nfor the Palm oil sympathisers
\nwhat will be will be<\/p>\n
but its not just this tree or this plant
\nor this orangutan
\neverything is connected
\nand its music is unsung<\/p>\n
and because it just all happened
\nman believed that he
\nwas up to almost everything
\nthat he alone could be<\/p>\n
the master of his forest
\nbut in essence he was wrong
\nand the price we all are paying
\nit now does not belong<\/p>\n
Palm oil has a place, it has
\nbut to inflate its importance means
\nthe imbalance that it causes
\ntragically now leans<\/p>\n
away from the natural order
\nand because of this we see
\ndisaster looming everywhere
