In Greece it seems the dogs
\nare really suffering
\nthose strays
\nare very likely to be killed
\nthey chase the sheep
\nthey are viewed as a great nuisance
\nand the shepherds and the people
\nwill not keep
\nany of them for they do cost money
\nvet bills, food and housing seem to be
\njust too far out of the peoples pockets
\nand just resort to torture and they be
\nejected on the highways and the byways
\nhung from trees in forests by thin wire
\ndragged along behind a motor cycle
\na stray in Greece must view its lot as dire<\/p>\n
a few will feed and house them
\nbut their priorities are not
\naimed at any animals these strays
\nsome may end up in a pot
\nothers might be tortured
\nand left staked out in a field
\nor thrown into a quarry
\nor otherwise concealed<\/p>\n
with very little money a stray dog
\nhas no chance, no chance to show!
\nhis prowess
\nhe’s not worth a second glance
\nfending for theselves out on the streets
\nits like a war zone after all
\nwith racing cars and torturers
\nwith business going to the wall <\/p>\n
Their best chance is to go wild and to forage
\naround the back of shops sometimes they find
\nscrags of meat and dead birds they can feast on
\nbut clearly most just now cannot unwind
\nthe human population some are desperate
\nand torture seems a pastime they believe
\nif they can grab a stray and torture it to death
\nthey cut out a mouth which apparently does achieve<\/p>\n
something in their sicko heads apparently
\nwhen there’s cats and rats also getting quite a run
\ncats are being tied up in a sack sometimes and left to
\ncook inside under the sun
\nor thrown into the ocean drowned its happening
\nevery kind of torture seems to be
\nhappening in Greece just at this moment
