/>
who know the grief
and on who its laid

there are no laws protecting those
who were born with skin and ample fur
and because of this the growing torture
is massive and it does occur
exports rising every which way
European markets say
Chinese fur is cheap and cheerful
but its sadistic just to pay

whatever for fur trim and other
fur supports the growing trend
of heinous torture its unbelievable
the screams one hears it has to end
in all the provinces back yard operatives
wash and stretch and dry the skins
with highly toxic chemical compounds
and they are guilty of many sins

all the residue pours into
the local rivers then the streams
all of them terribly carcinogenic and bringing
on truly the worst of bad dreams
the impact is extremely dangerous
but its for export and so it goes
on and on ad infinitum
and every kind of shit now flows

brutality is colossal
its reprehensible to see
even the most hardened
will vomit just to bloody be
close to where the action happens
even the heartless men break down
this is terror at its worst
and its happening all over town

each cage they live in measures
54 centimetres square
they cannot turn around in that
it just aint bloody fair
to do this to such animals
and watch them just go mad
stomping on themselves I mean to say
it gone from worse to bad

how can anybody do this
to any living soul
the farmers they dont have compassion
they are cruel and so the toll
of egregious torture
of the most tumultuous pain
raccoon dogs are all heavy
and million die in vain
crashed down on the hard ground
supposedly to stun
but they very soon awake
knowing what’s to be done

very much alive still
kicking for all their worth
breathing hard their bodies jarred
and beaten against the earth
still this doesn’t kill them
so the skinning process starts
on the ground that free’s the legs
then hook them up, and it starts

the unbelievable agony as the skin
is pulled away over the limbs and over the head
what is there to say
this is torture so extreme
on an innocent soul who loved to dream
to walk the countryside at Dawn
and now is unceremoniously shorn

and its naked structure and its great big eyes
look up to heaven and realise
its passing was slow with such agony
hoping above all else to be
free from the terrible state that they
find themselves in how they do pay
every creature is treated like this
its something that every soul should miss

but with export markets rising fast
back yard farms alas have cast
millions of animals in the role
of a terrible life in a darkly hole
and a death so terrible just to tell
in words consigns a man to Hell

the cages are small and made of wire
monotony follows how they perspire
soaked in excrement and urine
their future clearly on the line
they dig at the wire to try and free
themselves from this utter purgatory
foxes are frightened of humans they
arn’t mean’t to be stationed every day
close to other foxes who
hate the close proximity too

its so unnatural, and causes fear
you can feel, it from ear to ear
they are running scared
with no where to go
frustrated and worn
and ready to throw

caution to the wind
just to get away
but there is no chance
for its judgement day
the terror is coming
the agony too
no one escapes the killing crew

with a pole and noose
around their throats
their manhandled out
for yet more coats
for yet more hags to step up and say
I need a new coat for my wedding day

this is what happens
the murders go on
all shapes and sizes
slowly are gone
grisly tribulations flow
these ordeals they grow and grow
the rancour it curdles the mind
and no remorse not that you’d find
the butchers are a dreadful band
as uneasiness spreads now through the land

victims writhe in their own blood
downtrodden and forgotten flood
the heaps of bodies in the sun
still alive
what have we done?
its all distasteful and very sick
this loathsome spectacle to pick
out any part of this ordeal
its really just to make one feel

terrible, what can one say
about what happens here today
its horrific it does nauseate
too calamitous to ever rate
each wretched creature writhes away
and languishes in its sad decay

this is the fur industry
creating trim for you not me
but creating trim for the anorak
for the school boys coat
for the school girl mac
for the gloves of faux fur
the labels say
but they’re raccoon dog
and that dog did pay

a horrid price for your warmish hands
it died a death beyond its plans
to do neither in fact but just get away
to try and live another day
but it was not to be
no not at all
nobody heard its final call
not the designers that specify
not the retailers WHO DON’T KNOW WHY
not the fur industry who does not care
who were deaf to the cries and far from aware
not to the fur hags who have sold their soul
not to the media who take control
not to creation who bows down and cries
as the humanoid moron just mystifies

we are the monsters there isn’t a doubt
what we see here is a continual rout
of species with fur who dont stand a chance
they have to die and before that to dance
on the rusty old hook bashed into the tree
where they are skinned whilst alive
with such depravity
to describe what we see, what we hear
is too much
for someone’s fur coat or some collar
to touch
and those hags who wear heads and tails
in some stole
feel a malediction towards every soul
that has to go through this
this odious hell
repellent and spurned by all that I tell

the fox on the ground coughs and splutters
we see
he is greyish and strong
yes he has to be
the butcher’s a man a monster in fact
for with all of the pain
he doesn’t react

not at all, if anything he sort of smiles
a brute with a blade who rigorously riles
the fox who is panting
in enormous pain
sucking in air again and again

trying to roar
with no strength left but he
is not giving up his last hope to get free

do you want fur trim after hearing my plea
do you want a coat made of fur
which would be
causing such vile and terrible pain
do you really honestly think you can gain
anything positive from garments like these
I urge you to think and shake at the knees
rather than buy into terror and pain
tell the fur industry, never again!

They call it fun fur
