Wolves are wild as wild as Nature
\nthe wilderness is their abode
\ninstinct gives them so much prowess
\nand they carry a vital load
\nthey were always in the moment
\nsensing so much, that’s their power
\nhaving to contend with man
\nwhose ranches now begin to tower
\nextensive fencing creates boundaries
\nin the minds of men who see
\nvery little for their sad eyes
\nare blinded by reality
\nin a storm a man is often
\nlost the natural world can fool
\nhim but then he isn’t learning
\nalready he thinks he knows it all
\nthe wolf and other wild souls living
\noutside in the wilderness
\nthey have by their willingness to learn
\nand so easily de-stress
\nwe could learn a great deal from them
\nbut we see them in a light
\nwhich we create a cast of shadows
\nand thus we try to use our might
\nagainst them call the hunter trapper
\narmed to the teeth with his 4×4
\na city dweller whose concrete structure
\nand high rise conscience doth ignore
\nremember the wild ones have their feet
\nsquarely in the sod
\nthey feel the mean vibrations
\nthey are closer to their god
\nfor us to shoot and kill them
\nfor us to pass more laws
\nfor us to restrict their freedom
\nand enter into wars
\nis ignorance and arrogance
\nwhich won’t get us very far
\nour ranchers might imagine they know lots
\nbut then they star
\nin their own production possibly
\nbut in the wilderness
\nthey are lost
\ntossed by the wild winds
\nsent a packing
\nas they now must confess<\/p>\n
