Prairie Dogs, Coyotes Wolves and Kangaroos
\nwild souls who hold the wilderness as there’s
\nare up against the ranchers and the farmers
\nwho have their own agenda’s and affairs
\nThe Meat Trade has such power and with it influence
\nmoney profit it greases the wheels
\nand if you happen to be one of the voiceless one’s
\nfew around is hearing their appeals
\nClovis is a place out in New Mexico
\na cruel streak runs across this place
\nfor they
\nthe ranchers they are powerful and the prairie Dogs
\nare a bloody nuisance, so to say
\nthey need to be exterminated quickly
\nchange the laws so private land owners too
\nhave to kill the wild dogs even on their land
\nthis is what the ranching people do
\nwhat happens in the minds of those so stilted
\ntheir only thought is money and that’s it
\nas to the wider world and how it operates
\nin a nutshell it just doesn’t sit
\nanywhere in their perceived emotion
\nanything that risks what they believe
\nhas to go, has to be got rid of
\nit has no bearing and thus it can’t achieve
\nand so they talk up war against the voiceless one’s
\nthey talk of plague they frighten and the fear
\nof harm to one and all creates confusion
\nand with confusion well of course its clear
\nthe Prairie Dogs are going to feel the agony
\nthey are going to get the bullets fast
\nlike the Coyote and the Wolves they are up against it
\nthe die in fact apparently is cast
\nthe Clovis representatives are adament
\nthey go along with the ranchers and they say
\nYes we have to slaughter every wild soul
\nthat happens to come by they kind of play
\ninto what is power and what is money
\nbut the ranchers kill the stock the steer we know
\nits feeding into the Meat Trade
\nand the corporate point of view
\nand this damn movement’s views just seem to grow
\na few around these parts know of the value
\nof the wild one’s and their journey on this land
\nthey know that really we are all connected
\nand by so being so they understand
\nbut money tears the heart out of the principle
\nwarriors are no match in a sense
\nthe mass can come down hard on simple activists
\nand that is when the the whole thing can get tense
\nThe people in the government need reminding
\nthey are for the people and they must
\nserve the wider environment remembering its need
\nor could face calls that really breach their trust<\/p>\n
The Prairie Dogs will suffer in the short term
\nthe hunters will be after them for sure
\ntrigger happy 4 x 4’s will catch a few
\nfor them I guess there needs to be a war
\nbut in the end the people must remember
\nthe wilderness is the safety valve for all
\nwhen you lose it or abuse it it can back fire
\nand the Prairie Dogs are part of that sad call<\/p>\n
I urge the people rally around and save them
\ndon’t let the ranching people take control
\nthe wilderness must survive the ranching corporates
\nfor if its lost that’s forfeiting your soul
\nand that will bring far reaching consequences
\nthe big wheel needs each cog for it to be
\neverything to everyone its true in fact under the sun
