Hope springs eternal
\nfor two Beagles who
\nhad spent their whole life
\nin cages
\na few
\nappreciate wildness
\nbut so many see
\n4 walls of wire
\nand that’s how it be<\/p>\n
so many poor souls
\nsink into our mire
\nBeagles are lovely
\nthat’s however dire
\nwe treat them
\nthey don’t bite
\njust cry that is all
\nthey love interaction
\nbut technicians appal
\nme
\nwith their heartlessness
\ncorporate stuff
\ntoxicity testing
\nand still they are rough
\nwith them back in their cages
\nand back in the lab
\nits just too and fro
\nand strapped back on the slab<\/p>\n
Abe and Davey are 2 Beagles who
\nhave gone through the mill
\nboth are sensitive crew
\nbroken and lost
\nby incessant need
\nthe cruelty shows
\ntheir eyes kind of feed
\ntheir soul and we notice
\nhow restrained they’ve become
\nbeing so sensitive
\nthey became numb
\nto the pain to the agony
\nto the insensitive way
\nthey they got treated
\nevery day
\npipes into their stomachs
\nsyringes as well
\ntoxins and tablets
\nthat make their guts swell
\ninducing in them some miasma until
\nin most cases of course something does kill
\nbut these two have managed to get through
\nit all
\nand to be re housed
\nand they did fall
\non their feet
\nnow adopted by a family who share
\nall the love and affection
\nand all are aware
\nhow love and affection is a cure all in fact
\nas we see how these traumatized souls now react
\nhappy and peaceful and loving and cute
