Shearing

Sheepishly  they look  up to the farmer

the shearing they were fearing

was not endearing

the clipping ripping into skin

making them all sore

the shearer gets his piece work rate

at so many an hour

blood money out in the sunny

what a rotten shower

it does upset  the apple cart

to see blood everywhere

the irreverence and blankness

is hardly ever fair
