“Princess”

Obtuseness and insensitivity

mankind was anything but

they kept this pig in the darkness

Not a  glimmer of light

the door was shut

a wretched barn filthy dirty

a place where no life form ought be

Gullible and broken

in what was purgatory.

suffering the vagaries

of darkness all the day

where she ate where she dumped

it was never the way

and it was so unhealthy

her eyesight very weak

Really very fearful

and nobody came to speak

to her she was so lonely

so when Todd bought the farm

and found her in this dirty hole

he was very calm

and collected and he wanted

to give her a life anew

scrumptious food and lots of  light

and a life so good and true

fresh straw every single day

walking in the sun

rooting in the woods for food

when the day was done

tired from good exertion

ready to sleep and dream

Princess would  be happy

and joyful to the extreme
