“Olive”and “Athena”

Two little friends
Both fond of the Dawn
A mum to be proud of
As to which
Both are torn
With emotion and spirit
“Olive” dear soul
Conscientious is she
Has a peace loving role
And, is conciliatory
She is neutral Lets say
A tad threatened clearly
But really at play
How she loves her mama
Who she sees as her star

She loves to explore
In the countryside, she
Loves the dark woods
And the bright fields
That be
Not far from her home
And by her mums side
When she runs by herself
She is itching to hide
Seen as restrained
But is playful as well
A little rebellious
Though under the spell
Of Dawn who she loves
And she feels good to be
Close at hand
It feels grand
So no real rivalry

Enter the scene
One “Athena”
Who came
From Dawns Mother in Law
Stephens Mother
The same
Lost in a moment
A new home to be
With “Olive” and “Dawn”
And the family

A sadness her friend
Had passed and that she
Was left but was joining
A close family
“Olive” a new friend
Peace needed to reign
Her want to be passive
A sharing refrain

Named after a Goddess
Of wisdom and war
And “Olive” an offering
Of Peace
And whats more
Names do have meaningful
Energies, and
The need for these two
Were to just understand

Both need to adjust
Each With outstretched paw
All of our differences
We can explore
A friendship together
For fated we were
And we both Love our Dawn
And that thought does spur
Us on to appear
We are working to be
Really good friends
In a great family

Our story has a real
Good ending
A sweet smell of roses
Abounds
We now walk together
Whatever the weather
our soul urge
As friendlier hounds

And together
Our shared love is working
Dawn is a happier soul
She talks to us when we go walking
And we both feel we do have
A role

To play in the life of the family
Engaging in banter and play
Both putting our best paws forward
And improving our lot every day
We both were its true apprehensive
But as friends we see Dawn sounding good
She works very hard and studies as well
Us four legged friends know we should
