Behind closed doors

The rusty gates rock violently
Unloaded pigs can smell
The death the pain the torture
As they enter a Hell
Not there of their making
The squeals they understand
The stench is really everywhere
In them nothing was planned
They possess their sensibility
Its a sore point in their soul
Moved along and prodded
Each has its last role
Through one gate to another
All the alien sounds
Out onto the waiting room
Its sort of out of bounds

Some begin to shiver
Impressionable they are
They kind of know whats happening
They wish that they were far
Away back in respective sty’s
For its harrowing right here
Listening to the death cries
And the ensuing fear
The anguish and the torment
Its a disconcerting time
There is no way out
The screaming
If only they could climb
Back out of this area
Mens voices they can hear
Rattling chains and rusty doors
Ratcheting up the fear

Defeated and despondent
Led onto the floor
There the gangs of overalls
They know now its a war
Its desperate and unpropitious
Trembling they be
Lifted thrown and throats slashed
And They bleed out painfully
Why do humans want to eat us?
When Our lives mean
a lot
Why must we be raised
to just be killed for some stew pot
Our bodies filling human stomachs
Dear God, who is to blame
All this pain and agony
And it really is a shame

How supermarkets sometimes
Do not even care
We are knocked about and castrated
Nobody is aware
Of the cruelty we go through
Of the bruises every day
Subjected to such evil
And really just no way
They advertise the cleanliness
The kindness everywhere
Making out the life of riley
Is what we all share
But its like a concentration camp
With ugly guards and they
Abuse us and they torture
Us every single day.

We only live a short time
And some of us we do
Have cancers and are ailing
Honestly its true
And you lot just don’t realise
What you eat, its sad
They cut out the growths they find in us
And really that is bad

Those growths are really smelly
They are black and god knows why
Some of us get diseases
And probably do die
Sooner than we ought to
Godly souls we be
In these concentration CAFO’s
Nobody can see

The evil and the ugliness
The depth of dump and woe
How they shout and beat us
And really how we grow
Fatter from the chemicals
The rats the maggots so
Eating when there is nothing else
Each others prolapse as well
Existing and resisting
The place that YOU call HELL
